The national plan of the Ministry of Health aims to encourage consumption of whole grain and low sodium breads. We gladly embrace it and present to you the list of the Berman’s Bakery, Vadash and Lechem HaAretz breads which carry the standard “Efshari Bari”.
“Efshari Bari” is a national program for a healthier and more active lifestyle, led by the Ministry of Health. Breads that carry the “Efshari Bari” standard must contain at least 80% whole wheat flour, up to 400 mg of sodium per 100 grams of product, and no more than 250 cal per 100 grams product.
The purpose of the program is to encourage consumption of whole grain and low sodium breads. Berman’s Bakery’s development department believes it is important that breads are nutritious and healthy, but equally as important- tasty. According to these principles and the criteria of the “Efshari Bari” program, we keep developing new products while improving the existing ones.
